My vision in creating this book was so that you could reach for it to inspire and strengthen you in times of need. The idea for this book came to me in my darkest hour. What I was going through was so dark and so unjust, I knew I had to write about it when it was over. But I didn’t want to do it alone. There is strength in numbers—especially with women. If my story needed to be told, I knew there were many others. Gathering these women and their stories for this book was like collecting sea shells on a beach walk. Each one is uniquely beautiful and special.

I created the format for this book so that if you connect with someone’s story and would like to, you could reach out to her.
