A life long entrepreneur, traveler and adventurer, Nan has been seeking knowledge, experiences and inner insights for over 20 years. Born in Chicago, raised in Europe; Brussels and London, Nan loves to travel and experience new people, cultures, tastes and adventure. After graduating with a B.S. In Design and a minor in Art History from the University of Minnesota, Nan moved to Los Angeles, CA. Working in the fashion design industry for several years she opened her own design company in 1986. Her contemporary designs created in unique fabrics took hold and her sales rocketed. Her designs were featured in department stores like Macy’s, Broadway and more. She sold to specialty stores across the country and was in numerous catalogs and magazines. Fast growth was challenging and exciting and it was her first crash course in business. However, she had to close her firm in 1990 due to the crash of the economy. Most all the department stores, some catalogs and a large number of specialty stores closed and going bankrupt. Nan’s firm was unable to continue without the money owed to her from these sources. This was the beginning of Nan Akasha’a spiritual path. She felt there must be more to life than working hard. Determined to discover a better way and meaning she moved to Albuquerque New Mexico and began to study and research different spiritual paths, religions, philosophies and more. Reading, attending workshops and getting certified in a wider variety of healing methods, and meditation techniques, she began to teach and coach. Nan opened a pet sitting business which led to doing animal healing, behavior modification and communication. This led her to various countries to study with specialists in a variety of fields. Her intuition was enhanced and expanded and she held a healing practice for animals and people for 6 years.
The death of her daughter, Jordan, was the next ‘life deconstruction’. Nan felt all the faith and inner power she had learned and believed had betrayed her and this spurred her to a whole new level of passion to discover how we create our realities, who is in charge and how we can rise out of the victim mode and into our personal power. Studying a whole new slew of tools, techniques, methods, she began to access a deeper level of herself. Working with talented Native American Shamans, studying for her Doctorate in Homeopathy, Certified in Bach Flower Essences and Pranamonics her personal philosophy of ‘life is meant to be fun’ expanded and new inner insights arose.
Nan continued her path of facing her fears and seeking adventure, enlightenment and fun. During this time she adopted her twin girls Emily and Sierra, moved to San Antonio, Texas and sold her businesses. After 5 years of being a mom and teaching meditation, Nan decided to study Real Estate Investing. Again she rocketed to success and over 7 years and built a sizable real estate empire. With a property management company, over 80 properties and success at rehabbing and selling houses, she felt she was finally ’set for life’. She was a sought after speaker and coach and loved motivating people to move beyond their fears and do what challenged them and gave great rewards. Nan became a specialist at overcoming grief, victim mentality and negative influences in your environment.
In 2000, Nan studied with Alton Kamadon and began to teach the Melchizedek Method and travel the world with groups of people. Egypt, England, Bimini, Hawaii and more. Meditating in groups of up to 225+ for peace and enlightenment, she visited sacred sites, power spots and troubled areas. Continuing her lifelong learning she attended and assisted at over 8 seminars a year. Constantly expanding her knowledge, deepening her intuition and honing her transformation skills, Nan felt intense joy and yet personally she lacked support and freedom.
Despite massive business and financial success, Nan’s 25 year marriage was reaching a point of severe stress and after counseling, attending relationship workshops and more, she asked for a separation. At first Nan soared. Feeling free and alive, her health and joy increased and she began to attract large investors to her business. She increased her business, hired more employees, and began an expansion to International Real Estate and business automation. After 6 months she met her current love, Chris, and her joy took a joy to a new level. It was so wondrous to have someone like minded in business and life philosophy who supported and appreciated her. She felt she could fly and accomplish anything.
However, after a trip to Panama to invest in Real Estate, her next major life deconstruction began. Her divorce, which started amicably turned into a nightmare and soon she had to close her Real Estate investment company and spend the next two years in a series of legal battles. Over the next 2 years, Nan faced massive personal pain, physical illness and internal emotional mountains to climb. The journey through the process of divorce included her family, who sided with her ex. This process, although painful, has been yet another amazing journey deeper into her inner self and has spawned many powerful tools that she shares with her clients on how to turn these painful transformation moments into personal power and joy. Learning not to allow others to steal your power your self esteem and your dreams is a vital skill to truly live a life you will love.
